Every FIX order ships from Dubai with temperature-protective packaging — insulated liners and cooling elements rated for the transit time to your destination. All international orders are sent via tracked express courier. You'll receive a tracking link by email the moment your order leaves our kitchen.

Customs duties and import taxes vary by country and are the responsibility of the recipient. We declare packages accurately — we never under-declare value. Most countries under the thresholds listed below pass through without issue.

The United States is where Dubai chocolate demand exploded hardest — American food creators drove a significant portion of the billion-plus TikTok views, and US customers now represent one of FIX's largest international audiences. The good news: ordering is straightforward, shipping is reliable, and the bars arrive in excellent condition.

You may have seen grocery chains and discount retailers stocking "Dubai chocolate" bars in the US. Be cautious: these are not FIX bars. They are mass-produced imitations made with artificial pistachio flavoring, inferior chocolate, and none of the handcrafted kataifi filling that defines the authentic product. The only way to get the real FIX bar in the US is to order directly from us.

The UK has a huge appetite for Dubai chocolate — partly driven by the large British-Arab and British-South Asian communities who recognized the flavors immediately, and partly by British food culture's longstanding love of premium confectionery. UK customers were among the first to share FIX internationally on social media.

Post-Brexit, orders from Dubai into the UK are treated as third-country imports. Most food orders under £135 clear customs without additional duty, though VAT may be collected at the border on higher-value orders. We recommend ordering a bundle to maximize value per shipment.

Canada has become one of our most enthusiastic markets — cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary have large Arab-diaspora communities who were among the first to discover FIX, and their excitement spread to the broader Canadian food community rapidly. Canadian food influencers have driven enormous organic reach for FIX on Instagram and TikTok.

Canada's CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) regulates imported food products, but commercially packaged chocolate with proper labeling — which all FIX bars have — clears customs without issue in the vast majority of cases. Orders under CAD $20 are typically duty-free; orders above may attract GST/HST, which varies by province and is collected at the border.

Australia is one of our longest shipping routes, which means two things: slightly longer delivery windows, and extra care in how we pack your bars. We use extended-duration cooling inserts for all Australian orders to account for the additional transit time and the heat in certain Australian regions.

Australia's biosecurity regulations (managed by the DAFF) are among the strictest in the world — but commercially produced, sealed, and labeled chocolate products are permitted imports. FIX bars have consistently cleared Australian customs without issue. Orders under AUD $1,000 are typically duty-free, though GST (10%) applies to most imported goods above AUD $1,000.

Germany has arguably been the most Dubai-chocolate-obsessed country in Europe. German supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Rewe) began stocking their own pistachio chocolate bars in late 2023 and sold out within days of launch, repeatedly. The German public's appetite for the authentic FIX version runs extremely high.

As an EU country, imports from outside the EU (including UAE) are subject to EU customs rules. Orders under €150 are generally duty-free, though VAT (19% in Germany) is typically applied. We recommend using DHL Express for German orders — as a German company, DHL has particularly efficient customs clearance for shipments into Germany.

France is home to some of the world's greatest chocolatiers and a deeply sophisticated chocolate culture — so it says something that Dubai chocolate has taken France by storm nonetheless. French customers tend to be especially interested in the quality of the Belgian chocolate shell and the provenance of ingredients, questions we're delighted to answer.

Like Germany, France applies EU customs rules: orders under €150 are duty-free, and VAT (20% in France) may be collected. Paris and Île-de-France customers often receive orders within 3–4 business days via express routing through Dubai–Paris CDG.

Singapore is one of Asia's most enthusiastic luxury food markets, and FIX has found a passionate audience there. Singapore's efficient customs infrastructure means orders typically clear quickly, and the city-state's position as a regional hub means some of the fastest Asia delivery times we offer.

Singapore's SFA (Singapore Food Agency) requires that imported food products carry proper labeling — all FIX bars comply fully. There is no duty on chocolate imports into Singapore; however GST (9% as of 2024) applies to all imported goods. Most orders clear within 24–48 hours of arrival in Singapore.

India has one of the strongest cultural and economic ties to Dubai of any country in the world — over 3 million Indians live and work in the UAE, and millions more travel there annually. FIX bars have been personal imports and gifts going into India since our earliest days. The demand for official international shipping into India has been enormous.

Importing chocolate into India involves FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) compliance — all FIX products meet these labeling requirements. Import duties on chocolate into India can be significant (30–60% depending on classification), which is worth factoring into your order. We recommend ordering in larger quantities to optimize cost per bar after duties.

Saudi Arabia is FIX's closest international market in every sense — geographically, culturally, and in terms of flavor affinity. The pistachio, rose, and knafeh flavors at the heart of our bars are deeply embedded in Saudi culinary culture, and our halal certification is a core trust signal for Saudi customers.

Shipping between UAE and KSA is among the fastest routes we operate. GCC trade agreements mean customs processing is streamlined. Halal certification documentation is included with all orders to KSA to facilitate smooth clearance through Saudi customs.

Japan has one of the world's most sophisticated confectionery cultures — from wagashi to the incredible craft chocolate movement — so it's no surprise that FIX has found a discerning and enthusiastic audience there. Japanese customers tend to be among our most detail-oriented: they notice the snap, the texture, the specific quality of the pistachio cream.

Japan's import procedures for food are thorough but well-organized. Chocolates and confectionery are generally permitted, though all products must comply with Japan's Food Sanitation Law labeling requirements. Import duty on chocolate is typically 10–20%, and consumption tax (10%) applies. Orders via Japan Post EMS or DHL tend to clear fastest.

The Netherlands has been a surprisingly strong market for FIX — Rotterdam and Amsterdam both have large Moroccan and Turkish communities with strong familiarity with the flavor profiles of our bars, and Dutch food culture's openness to international flavors has driven wide mainstream interest. Amsterdam Schiphol is also a major cargo hub, which typically means fast transit and customs clearance times for Netherlands-destined orders.

EU customs rules apply: orders under €150 are duty-free, with Dutch VAT (21%) potentially applied. DHL and FedEx both maintain strong networks into the Netherlands from Dubai.

South Africa — particularly Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban — has been one of our most enthusiastic African markets. The Cape Malay and South African Muslim communities have an existing cultural affinity with the Middle Eastern flavors in our bars, and halal certification is an important factor for a significant portion of our South African customer base.

Shipping to South Africa involves clearance through SARS (South African Revenue Service). Chocolates are subject to import duty (typically around 20–30%) plus VAT (15%). Currency exchange should be factored in when budgeting — we price in AED and USD, and the ZAR conversion can add to perceived cost.

New Zealand is one of our most remote markets geographically, but Kiwi customers have been reaching out since day one. New Zealand's food import rules are strict (managed by MPI — Ministry for Primary Industries), but commercially produced, sealed chocolate products are importable without special permits. Like Australia, we pack NZ orders with extended-duration cooling.

Goods imported into NZ under NZD $1,000 are generally duty and GST-free (de minimis threshold). Above that, 15% GST and any applicable duty applies. Given shipping distance, we strongly recommend ordering a larger bundle to maximize value.

Nigeria has emerged as a significant FIX market — Lagos in particular has a vibrant luxury food culture, and Nigerian food influencers and content creators have driven strong organic awareness of FIX across West Africa. The Nigerian Muslim community (predominantly in the north) is also a natural audience for our halal-certified products.

Importing food into Nigeria involves NAFDAC (National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control) regulations. Personal import quantities of sealed, labeled food products generally clear without issue. We recommend DHL Express for Nigeria due to their established Lagos network and reliable customs brokerage. Hot climate packing applies to all Nigerian orders year-round.

Pakistan has a large expatriate community in Dubai — over a million Pakistani nationals live and work in the UAE — making FIX a natural gift to carry home or send ahead. The pistachio-forward flavor profile resonates strongly with Pakistani food culture, where pistachios feature prominently in sweets, biryanis, and celebration foods.

International shipping to Pakistan has improved significantly in recent years. DHL and FedEx both serve Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad reliably. Import duties on chocolate into Pakistan vary but are typically in the 20–35% range. Halal certification — which all FIX bars carry — is important for Pakistani customs clearance.

Malaysia is one of the most important halal food markets in the world, and FIX's halal certification is a key factor in our Malaysian customer base. Kuala Lumpur's sophisticated food scene has embraced Dubai chocolate enthusiastically, with multiple viral moments on Malaysian TikTok and Instagram driving regular waves of demand.

Malaysia's import regulations require that food products meet JAKIM (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) halal standards — our certification satisfies this. Import duty on chocolate is typically low (0–5%), and GST was replaced by SST at 10% for most imported goods. Orders to Malaysia typically clear customs efficiently given the country's strong trade infrastructure.

Sweden — and Scandinavia more broadly — has an exceptionally strong food culture and a genuine love of quality chocolate. Swedish customers discovered FIX through Nordic food media and have been loyal ever since. Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö all have active FIX communities.

As an EU member, Sweden follows EU customs rules: €150 duty-free threshold, with Swedish VAT (25% — among Europe's highest) potentially applied on larger orders. Despite the VAT, Swedish customers consistently tell us the product justifies the full landed cost. Orders routed through Arlanda typically clear swiftly.

Yes — Costco, Walmart, Aldi, Lidl, and various other retailers have all stocked "Dubai chocolate" bars at some point. And this is where we have to be very direct with you: none of these are FIX Dessert Chocolatier bars.

The bars sold in mass-market retailers are licensed imitations or independent products inspired by the Dubai chocolate trend. They may use the phrase "Dubai chocolate" or "pistachio chocolate bar" in their marketing, and some are decent products in their own right. But they are not made in Dubai, they are not handcrafted, they do not use the same quality of Belgian chocolate or authentic kataifi pastry, and they are not FIX.

Trader Joe's launched their own pistachio-filled chocolate bar and it became a major viral moment — selling out repeatedly and generating enormous social media buzz. It is a good product at an accessible price point, and we have no issue saying so.
